Serge Labégorre is considered one of the greatest living French expressionists. His work spans decades and has been exhibited globally. So, when offered the opportunity to use a selection of his striking and powerful work – how could we not! All thanks to Pure White Lines friend and art agent, Jessica Anselm. Jessica introduced us to Labégorre’s incredible work at her home in Sussex where the sheer scale and vibrancy of the pieces bowled us over.
You can view a small selection of Labégorre’s collection below, paired with our cabinets, vintage armchairs and décor but to experience these pieces and many more in person head to Notting Hill between 28th June and 4th July where Jessica will be brining Labégorre’s work to London for the very first time.
Part of Kensington + Chelsea Art Week, the exhibition will be held at JM Gallery on Portobello Road. Famously fussy when selecting art agents, exhibitions of Labégorre’s work have made it as far as San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Egypt and Taiwan but until now, never the UK – making this a must-see stop on the art trail!
