19th Century Narwhale Tusk

This incredible piece of natural history dates back to around 1890. This Narwhal tusk/tooth, often named the unicorn of the sea is mounted onto an ebonised wooden base.

These tusks were often used during medieval Europe by Vikings for medicinal purposes, such as an antidote for poisons and even curing melancholia!

This rare and extraordinary artifact includes a Cite Certificate.
